IESO Board appoints new Stakeholder Advisory Committee and Technical Panel Members

December 14, 2017

The IESO Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Members selected to provide advice on important matters within Ontario’s electricity sector, beginning January 1, 2018:

  • Phil Lasek, Senior Electrical Engineer, Shell Canada Products has been appointed as the Market Participant Consumer representative to the IESO Technical Panel (TP)
  • Frank Kallonen, President and CEO, Greater Sudbury Hydro has been appointed as a distributor representative to the IESO Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC)

The IESO Board and Executive would also like to express their appreciation to past members for their dedication and commitment to the important issues discussed in their respective membership roles. Those members include Todd Wilcox (SAC), Brian Kelly (TP) and Martin Longlade (TP).

The Electricity Act, 1998, as amended, requires the IESO to establish processes so that stakeholders and community representatives have an opportunity to provide advice for consideration by the IESO. The IESO Board has established the Stakeholder Advisory Committee and the Technical Panel as part of its broader engagement process. Visit the SAC and TP webpages for more information.
