This Request for Information (RFI) was issued by the IESO to assist in the gathering of information required to better understand how non-emitting resources can participate in current and future IESO markets in order to contribute to a reliable electricity system in Ontario.
The IESO would like to thank all stakeholders who participated in Phase 1 of the NER RFI that was issued on March 21, 2018. The information that was collected by the IESO was very insightful and helpful in identifying how non-emitting resources can participate in the electricity market today and future opportunities that exist down the road. A summary of the Phase 1 submissions has been posted in the Schedule of Activities.
The IESO will not be continuing with Phase 2 of the NER RFI initiative. Any future information regarding the status of the NER RFI will be communicated to stakeholders both on the NER-RFI engagement page and through email distribution. Thank you again for your participation and input.
