Development of IESO Implementation Plan for 2017 LTEP

The IESO is developing an Implementation Plan to deliver nine specific initiatives in the 2017 Long-Term Energy Plan. The Plan is to be submitted to the Minister of Energy by January 31, 2018, as required under the Energy Statue Law Amendment Act, 2016. The Implementation Plan will outline the context, engagement scope and objectives, estimated timelines and identify deliverables for each of the nine directed initiatives.

This engagement initiative will collect feedback from communities and stakeholders on the overall approach to the IESO’s Implementation Plan and the proposed timeline for responding to the directive initiatives. Specific questions to consider are:

  • Is an adequate and efficient scope of activities proposed to meet the implementation directive?
  • Are there other factors or linkages (e.g. in-progress initiatives from other organizations, market renewal program, etc) that should be considered in the design of the timeline of activities?
  • Is the relative priority of the engagement schedule achievable?

All interested parties are invited to participate in this initiative, including but not limited to communities, market participants, stakeholders and associations.

All comments and questions on this engagement can be directed to engagement@ieso.ca.
