Forums Overview

Regional Electricity Forums banner with an illustration of rural, suburban and urban landscapes and the name of four cities listed above it: London, Ottawa, Thunder Bay and Sudbury.

These full day forums held across the province in fall 2017, brought together a cross section of community and business audiences representing municipal, Indigenous communities, Local Distribution Companies, Local Advisory Committees, and associations to explore the future direction of the electricity sector.  The forums brought the dialogue down to the local level and facilitated conversations about how electricity can be harnessed to support the growth, resiliency and vibrancy of these communities.

Forum dates for 2018 will be announced in Q1 2018. To receive updates on future regional electricity forums, please subscribe here.

Resource Guide For Attendees

In advance of the Forums, the IESO developed a Resource Guide to set the broader context for discussions. The guide covers recent developments in Ontario’s energy policies and broader priorities, emerging trends in Ontario’s energy sector, recent technical advisory work provided by the IESO, and a list of helpful links, tools and resources.
