Impact of COVID-19 on Conservation First Framework

To help program participants impacted by COVID-19, the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines has issued a letter to the IESO regarding the government’s intent to potentially enable the IESO to extend timelines for projects under the Conservation First Framework (CFF). Extensions will not be available until formal notification from government is received, in the form of a Ministerial Directive. This would provide contracted participants of CFF programs with additional time to complete projects that are already underway.
