Introducing Beacon - New IESO Contract Management Tool
Once you have completed the registration and verification processes in Beacon, you will be able to view and manage all of your active FIT and/or microFIT Contracts. This includes submitting requests related to amendments, assignments and managing contacts (i.e. multiple Suppliers and/or representatives) associated with your contracts. You will also have access to up-to-date information on your contracts in one place.
Once you have completed the LDC account registration process in Beacon, you will be able to view and manage all of the active FIT and/or microFIT Contracts and assigned tasks associated with your LDC. This includes responding to clarification requests and receiving notifications from the IESO related to amendments and assignments. You will also have access to up-to-date information on these contracts in one place.
Detailed registration and information verification instructions have been sent to FIT and microFIT contract holders ("Suppliers") and LDCs upon Beacon’s release Log into Beacon: http://www.ieso.ca/Sector-Participants/Feed-in-Tariff-Program/Login
If you are a current FIT or microFIT Supplier, your information will be available after you have completed the registration and verification processes in Beacon. Note that you must use the email address listed on your microFIT Contract or on record with the IESO FIT Contract Management team. Once you have completed these processes, your current contracts will be available to view and you will be able to initiate requests.
If you had submitted an application for a FIT or microFIT contract, but did not receive a contract or your contract has been terminated, your application information will not be accessible in Beacon.
The IESO is no longer accepting new applications for the FIT and microFIT programs. If, however, you are being assigned a current FIT or microFIT Contract, you will be able to create a new account by completing the registration process available on this page after Beacon’s release date. Once you’ve completed the registration process, you will be able to log into Beacon and can be included as a part of a contract assignment request.
There are two separate roles in Beacon – the “Approver” and the “Agent.” If you have been verified by the IESO as the FIT or microFIT Supplier prior to Beacon’s release, you will automatically be considered as an “Approver” within Beacon. As an Approver, you will have the ability to add additional individuals as your “Agents” in Beacon. Once added by an Approver, an Agent will be able to view the contracts assigned to them, and can perform limited functions in certain circumstances. All actions related to the contract that are performed by Agents will be sent to the Approver(s) for sign off before being submitted to the IESO for review.
Currently, only microFIT Suppliers have access to their information and can submit changes through their My microFIT Homepage. As indicated under “Required Actions”, requests currently in progress that require actions from the Supplier or the Assignee should be completed as soon as possible through either the My microFIT Homepage for microFIT or through existing communications mechanisms for FIT (your contract analyst or FIT.Contract@ieso.ca).
If you are having difficulty signing up for or logging into an account, please contact email@example.com.
You are being contacted because you are a current FIT and/or microFIT Supplier. Additional information and instructions on how to register will be sent to you directly when Beacon becomes available.
You will see all information related to your FIT and/or microFIT Contract(s). This includes contract price, facility information, applicable documents, history of any contract changes going forward and the ability to manage personal profile and contact information.
To the extent this response is inconsistent with any terms or conditions contained in Supplier’s FIT/microFIT Contract, the terms and conditions contained in Supplier’s FIT/microFIT Contract shall prevail.
Beacon allows the IESO, Suppliers and LDCs to view information, manage contractual obligations, and send and receive notifications for existing FIT and microFIT Contracts. All requests for changes related to the FIT and/or microFIT Contract will need to be submitted through Beacon. Types of requests include, but are not limited to: changes to contact information, changes to facility information, contract assignments (e.g. if a property is being sold).
Once you register for Beacon, you will be able to view your FIT and/or microFIT Contract information, submit requests for changes, or receive direct notifications from the IESO.
No, there are no fees or charges for Beacon.
