Following discussions with stakeholders through the IESO’s Demand Response (DR) Working Group, the IESO invites the broader stakeholder community to provide input into the design, development and implementation of a demand response auction for Ontario.

Through stakeholder input, the objective of this stakeholder engagement initiative is to give stakeholders the opportunity to provide their input and to identify barriers to participation that would inhibit the effectiveness of the auction. This, along with the engagement method and timelines is outlined in the Demand Response Auction Stakeholder Engagement Plan posted below.

It is anticipated that stakeholders interested or involved in load-side management will have an interest in this initiative however this engagement is open to all stakeholders.

The Stakeholder Engagement Plan may be subject to review and update as the process evolves to ensure that individuals have the opportunity to access and contribute their input on this initiative most efficiently. All comments and enquiries can be directed to engagement@ieso.ca.
